Who are we?

Phil Mann started working in Music Market in Worcester in the spring of 1983 (now that was a record shop), selling records, tapes and CDs. It was a little goldmine run by music fans with lots of energy and enthusiasm. It was the time of Frankie Goes To Hollywood, The Smiths, Simple Minds and Michael Jackson when you could sell many hundred copies of one release. After a few years Phil found himself on Kensington High Street at Tower Records mingling with the stars again selling music. Yazz, Monty Python, Lucinda Williams, De La Soul, Lisa Stansfield, Kirsty Macoll were some of the artists Phil promoted in the late eighties and nineties visiting record shops in the South Midlands and Wales.
